Hi there, I am restoring My 1979 camaros body, which I just purchased for $1,900 after the owner had dumped 10k into it. hehe what a deal! it's got a 355, ported polished you name it! even the axels are brand new car has 5,000 miles on it. the body on the other hand, has 400,000! The passanger side door, drops 4 inches and it's completely broke now. heh. I was going to get the doors replaced and whatnot and since I'm taking the doors off it, what a time for a color change. What do you guys suggest? and cheap! http://www.camaros.net/forum/smile.gif it's turd brown at the moment, and is a berlinetta. soon to be a 1980 Z28 clone car.

There were several good colors in 1979 and if they are applied properly, look very good. The newer base coat/clear coat paints liven up the colors and the shine and they are very durable.
Color will have to be your choice, even if it's not a 79 color. Color changes on G.M. cars are easier than some others because of trunk interiors, front inner fenders, etc.
Pick a color you like that will work with your interior and have at it.
