I just got a pair of heads give to me. :D The casting numbers are 333882. Can someone out there look these heads up for me. I recently broke the timing chain on my monte carlo and was thinking of puttin them on that car. The motor is a .40 350 with a 282 comp cam(i think) , has a wiend single plane intake, and a large set of headers, dont remeber the size. All this is bolted to a turbo 350 with a 2500 tci stall. The rear end is factory with its factory gears in it (2.73) I know airplane gears. I am just wondering if anyone can check this for me. Sory if my information is a little scrabbled. Thanks for the help.

same heads I got on my motor...there decent heads, but there stock Gm smogger heads as people on here tell me....lower compression truck heads....the have good flow #'s just kind cheap heads....also with that big of a cam might be a lil low on the compression if u have dished pistons .... somebody smarter than me will let you know for sure though

I took my 882's to a crusty old machinist and he played with them and now they are flowing 212.84 @28" at .550...:D Ok heads for cast in my book. The only thing I dont like is such a large chamber. For the flow he had to take away some meat around the spark plug which opened up the chambers more. Still good heads for the money.

I'd hunt up a set of medium valve double-humps w/ bolt holes on the ends and go from there!!

by the time you hunt down suitable GM production castings 041, 186, 492 heads, had them cleaned and checked for previous work and cracks, replaced the guides, the valves, do a bowl clean-up to help flow, quality valve job, new seals, springs, reatainers, locks, screw-in studs and guide plates. You can buy Brand New Aluminum heads that will kick all forms of butt compared to those old iron heads.

Get rid of the gears with that cam, it may surprise you.
