What do you recommend for fuel line size and pick up in the tank for a 502 Big Block  I am getting ready to run the fuel line from the tank to the carby.
Had planned to run the Holley pump and regulator in the trunk. Does the regulator need to be closer to the carby ?
What earls fittings sizes would fit your recommended pipe diameter ?

Thanks in advance, this site has been very helpul

3/8" should work but 1/2" is better. That way you don't have to worry about not getting enough fuel. Get fittings to fit the lines and pump you pick.

You want the high pressure to be pushing the fuel to the front, then control it at the carb. Low pressure in the whole fuel line won't make it flow as well.

Good Luck!

He said to move the fuel regulator as close to the carb as you can get it. Jegs and Summit both sell base plate brackets that bolt to the carb to hold a Holley pressure regulator.

You also want a return line to the tank to be the same size as the fuel line (I personally run a 3/8th inch return with a 1/2 inch feed under the assumption that the motor might actually use some of the gas as it is going by). If your tank does not have a return line Jegs sells an adapter that allows you to splice into the gas tank filler tube and plumb the return line there. They call it a return line adapter for cars without EFI tanks.
