Hey guys, I recently ordered a set of 17" American Racing Torq Lite's. I am anxiously waiting for them to arrive, but in the meantime, is there anyone out there that has a set of these on a 69?.....well a first gen anyway? If I remember right I saw one while I was surfing TC a while back, but I paid very little attention.

Any pics? I bought the polished version.

Thanks,

Joe

They're nice bro. I have a set on my 67. The best I can do on pics at the moment is to say check out my blog site shown on my sig below. My pics don't do them justice tho. Although by now I bet you already have them and have installed them.

Dario, thanks for the response. Those wheels look killer right! I did get them in and on the car and all I can say wow. You are right, the wheels do make the car. I am very impressed with them. Now I guess I need to start on getting rid of those drum brakes and start on the 4 wheel disk conversion.....then on to paint and body work.

Here are a few pics........

Ohhhh.... OOOOOOOhhhh.... AAAAhhhhhh.....

SWEET! a 69! watch me drool. I've always loved the 69s. That thing looks killer with the wheels on it! I can't wait to get mine on the road. I think I got a long ways to go tho. I've searched tons of places to find pics of a first gen camaro using these wheels but never been able to find one, that's why I was hoping to give you a little something at least. I had to buy mine with a picture in my head alone, cause the local shops here don't stock them. I'm glad they look this good.

As for the disc brake conversion... I'd say that's a definite must do. You lose the stock feel but the car has got to stop better than with the drums. I've had my 67 for a while now and since aquiring it, I've driven it a total of 4 hours. That's one five minute test drive and a 3 hour 55 min drive back from Los Angeles, California to my house in Vegas before I tore it apart. And in that little bit of time I can tell you this thing stopped like a rampaging elephant. I can't wait to try it now.

Thanks for the pics bro. I have an idea of the final product now. I really appreciated it.
