I did a 4 wheel disc conversion on my 68 and now have a complete set of 4 - wheel drum brakes including the spindles. They actually worked very niceand are in pretty darn good shape (steel doesn't rust in my dry climate). I'm thinking about letting this go (in interest in clearing out some room in shed) What do you guys think the fair market value would be for this pkg. deal??

I would say somewhere between $25-$100. Maybe a little more if you can find a local buyer that doesn't have to pay for shipping.

Thanks Troy - I wasn't expecting to be worth too much and was thinking around $200 for everything. It is a lot of weight though and imagine sipping is going to be at least $80. I chek'd out your pictures - nice selection of rides!!! I imagine it could take up to an hour to decide which one you want to take out for a ride.

I would imagine the value would be in the spindles. If you still have the hubs, folks would be intersted in those as well. My guess is that you used the drum hubs for your disc conversion. I'd ask $50 for the spindles and $40 for the hubs. I'd set the rest of it out at the curb for the recycler.

As a datapoint, I paid $50 for spindles...under the condition that I would take the drums away...

Bill,
I have basically given up on selling the ones from my Chevelle, and they have been completely glass beaded etc. I put them on e-bay starting at $50 and did not get a single bid :( I am going to take them apart and mill the spindle down for disc brakes, then I will probably be able to sell them.

I wish I could say that they are are mine. The Camaro is mine. The others belong to friends on mine. Good luck on your resale. Troy
