Has anyone used Jeg's direct fit radiator (part #555-51900)? If so how was the fit and can I use the factory shroud? I'm also looking at getting the Black Magic X-treme fan (part #400-180). I can get the items shipped to the house a little cheaper than from Summit. Thanks

Anybody use the JEGs version? I am looking at the same thing and for the same reason's.

I have the Flex-A-Lite Black Magic fan #180 and I think it's a very nice fan. IMO, it's well built and it attaches nicely. The only thing I don't like is the mounting brackets have a slot in them instead of individual holes for the mounting bolts. I will probably make some "L" brackets out of some stainless steel I have and drill a hole in it in the same place as the bracket. Other than that it is a very nice unit. They give you an adjustable thermostat, but it's the type with the bulb on a long wire instead of a screw in switch. I already had a Painless fan switch in my manifold so I didn't use the thermostat.

I just got that radiator today from jegs and if you have a pretty nice car I would noy go with it. The welds on the tanks look awful. Try the summit direct fit. I heard they are good. Looks like the jegs was built by a first time welder or a drunk. I am returning mine.

Let Jegs know about the welds. THey seem to take these responses into consideration, at least they took care of my last complaint. I even got a phone call from a high up honcho about my complaint and the "item" was replaced with another brand.

Looks like I will be going to Summit.

Drove down to Summit today and picked thiers up. Looks pretty good to me (not TIG welded ala Nascar style but the price is right). All mounting hole line up and it is a pinch thicker. Got out of there for less $$$ than the Jegs version when I mentioned the competition to Summit.

Maybe I got a bad one from jegs, but I will go with summit.They look alot alike.
