This part fell on me as I was dropping my steering column on my 67. I know it is used to adjust the column but which mounting brace bolt is used? I assume the one most forward near the fire wall bcause that would give me vertical adjustment. Does that sound right?

This is a steering column shim, fits between column saddle and dash metal frame.

UPC 9, Sheet A6 in the '67 Assembly Manual has the detailed instructions (mandatory assembly sequence) for column installation (including use of the wedge) without distorting or stressing the column's collapse capability.
