I think I have a valve to tight, I am getting a popping through the exaust when driving and #4 plug is getting wet with gas. I have a 555 solid cam in my 383 stroker.. I lost the cam card and dont know how to adust the lifters. Can anyone tell me a good way to do it. THis is my first solid cam so I need help.. OR tell me what to look for with this popping.. THe motor only has about 50 miles on it.. THanks Ed

As far as the lash, you could contact the manufacturer. As far as the actual adjusting process, there are tons of methods and procedures. Do the search function and study the different methods and soon you will be adjusting them like a pro.

I would quickly do a one up / one down adjustment on this cly. If you dont have specs, go for something like 22/24 , Intake/Exhaust . Dont want to run that too tight , too long. If its too loose , tighten up clearance. Surely you have cam specs on a new cam.
