Do you have any more details and or pic's of how you mounted your shroud clips to your Summit Radiator? I just bought one and need to mount the clips also.

Originally, the drivers side clipped clipped onto a tab on the radiator mounting bracket, this tab is not present on the summit radiator.
The pass side clipped onto a separate bracket (that I didn't have) that attaches with the lower rad mounting bolt on that side.

I glued the clips to the rad with expoxy putty. The epoxy putty stuck to the radiator, but not to the clips, they separated after a week. So I used liquid 5 minute epoxy to glue the clips to the putty. That has held up.

To get em in the right place and height, I stuck em on the shroud, stuck 2 wads of putty on the clips, then stuck the shroud on the rad, pushed it on tight, and bungied it down untill the glue dried. (al done before installing the radiator.)

I agree, there has to be a better way.

When ordering the Summit Racing Direct Fit radiator #380456 for a 67-69 camaro I suggest ordering the recommended radiator shroud bracket kit Sum-380660. Bracket kit cost is $23.69. Pricey for what it is but makes install easier. I didn't get instructions with mine but the brackets mount at the lower part of the radiator on each side and have "Z" clips that hold the shroud against the lower part of the radiator flange to radiator support cross bracing.

What a darned fine idea!

Here is how I secured my shroud to the aluminum radiator:
On the bottom of the radiator are a few square holes where the shroud wraps underneath. I drilled two holes in the plastic shroud at these locations (one on each end) and ran a short sheet metal screw threaded into the plastic extending into the square hole. This allows for a little wiggle room for heat expansion and this simple fastener has held on with no problems. I didn't get my aluminum radiator from Summit, but it looks just like theirs so I am assuming you have this same option. My initial design was securing it with duct tape which was effective, but was not very professional.
I didn't know that they had a shroud bracket option and might have used it instead. Let us know how that works out.
On another note, In my radiator I have the transmission coolant connections that are not being used. Is there a commonly found plug for those holes that doesn't distract from the appearance? A dark colored plastic or PVC plug would be nice. I also thought about putting them to use to secure the radiator overflow tubing.

There is the better way! Ordered it should be here Monday.
