This is just a question asked out of curiosity. If for say, someone here sold a car on eBay that got a winning bid of $15,000. How much of that money does eBay keep for themselves?

No percentages for selling vehicles on Ebay Motors...Just flat rates:

Insertion Fee: $40.00
Treansaction Service Fee: $50.00

However, You will not be charged a Transaction Services Fee if:

1. There were no bids on your item.

2. There were no bids that met the reserve price on your reserve price listing.

Otherwise you will be charged a Transaction Services Fee, whether or not you carry out the sale with the buyer.
