Good runs. Put some sticky tires on and it should run low 12's or high 11's.

I plan on doing that next year. A freind has some DOT's, but they would not fit.

I was secretly hoping 12.50's, but was only expecting 12.90's with the street tires on. Too many times I got caught up in the moment and would toast the tires at the line. All in all it was a fun day!:yes:

With that mph, I'm thinking you could do better. My mph is around 116 to 119. You had some 112 and higher? I need to look again. With some good hook, you should be able to take about 4 or maybe 5 tenths off that 60' time.

You've got the mph to be in the low 12's and hi 11's. With 116 I was an 11.65 and I was breaking loose a little with some porpoising. That and I couldn't get the trans to take me over 5400 in 1st. The tranny guy is going to fix that though and with some different snubbers, I maybe, just maybe might get a couple tenths faster.

But I digress, that mph you have is pretty good. BTW- I was told to go with the drag radial. I was told, it will be good enough and they hook well. Not as good as the ET Street, which is not a radial. So I went with ET Streets and they still broke loose a bit. Just food for thought.

My best run was 12.68 @ 112.9 with a 1.99 60'. With some good tires and more practice, I believe I could get in the mid to high 11's. I will most likely go with drag radials. Oh yea, I need to practice my 4-spd power shifts.

Congrats on the good time.
Making good power from 1/8 mph to 1/4 mph, no doubt.

Yes, you do need to improve on speed shifting and react time. Remove the clutch pedal pad and throw into glove box for safekeeping. Adjust clutch for 0.060"-0.080" of clearance between disc and flywheel. When you go to upshift, push/pull into the next gear, as long as power is applied, no change of gear. Sidestep clutch pedal, next gear selected. Never remove gas pedal foot from floorboard. Yes, it does take practice and more.

I don't think that I could have done much better on the 60' times with the street tires.

I was easy on letting the clutch out as I knew that if I dumped the clucth at any RPM at the line, the tires would have been toast. In addition, the numbers M20 and rear diff are still in the car so I was trying to make sure I didn't damage those 2 items.

If you are overly worried about breaking parts, I wouldn't worry that much about your times. I brought a come along with me and several friends so that if my car broke at the track, I could still get it on the trailer. I was easy on it for the first few runs out of safety because I hadn't run the car since a bunch of suspension upgrades and new tires.
After the first 3 runs, I started welding the pedal to the floor.

Not sure of your power train but when I was getting my t400 built, my tranny guy mentioned that my pinion yoke was a bit weak looking. It was a 1310 with a greasable U-joint.
So I changed that to a 1350 yoke I got from Randy's R&P and used a solid Spicer joint. The tranny guy also put some billet steele stuff in that trans and said he felt its good to 600 hp which I KNOW my motor doesn't approach.
So why not hit it hard?

If you cover those bases and put some tough stuff in the drive train, you should be good to go. If you aren't making mondo hp, then no worries. With a 112 mph arrival, I imagine you are in the 400 to 475 hp range? Just a guess.
Put some sticky tires on that bad boy and let the big dog eat! I can guarantee you one thing, if your goal is high 11's, once you get that high 11 ET, your goal will now be low 11's.
I told myself that I would be happy with 11.99 and a 1.8 60'.
I got 11.65 with a 1.6 something 60' and now I'm looking to the horizon at the 10 second category. :D

Went to the track last Fri. Ran street tires and open headers.

No improvement on the ET from last year, but best MPH was 116.2. - 3+ MPH increase over last year.

Will post pics and hopefully video soon.

Nice! What does your exhaust consist of??? Looks like its a pretty big restriction.

1 5/8" Hooker headers and 2 1/2" American Thunder series exhaust system.
