After a 2 1/2 yr frame off resto I finally hit the road yesterday. It was a great feeling of acomplishment. I still have to install the front bumper and waiting on my derby caps to arrive for the wheels.

Other than that just a few small things and this project will be complete.

I never could have done it without all the help I recieved from the good people on this site. Thanks everyone. I'm sure I'll have more questions, because we all know these cars are never really finished. They are a constant work in progress. I guess that's part of why we all love them.

Here's some pics.

Looking good. congrats on the first drive. Feels good doesn't it? The thing I remember most about my first drive was the looks that you get from everyone as you drive by. Lots of thumbs up!!

Thanks guys. Cortez silver with a blue interior is kinda odd. But that's what this car came with so I put it back that way,and I like it.

It also came with a dark blue vinyl top but I put a black one on it. I think the black top looks better.

Nice looking camaro, I just finished my convertible and Im about to start a complete frame-off rotisserie restoration on my garnet red 69 Z/28, Ive already started gathering and buying NOS parts, its expensive but well worth it.

WOW, what a beautiful car, you did a great job on it.

Now it's time to do the best part, DRIVE it.

I do remember my first time w/ my camaro on the road, my first drive must have been 3-4 hours.

It has 215/65/15 on it.

Here are a few pics I took at different stages of the game. From stripping it down to bare metal, to epoxy, 2K primer and paint. The first pic of the car in the garage with the oil absorbent roll under it is a pic the day I started tearing her apart. Doesn't look much different than it does now as far as looking at a picture. But believe me in person there's a BIG difference. Pictures don't show the whole story.

I really wasn't scared. I had a great sense of accomplishment but wasn't worried about anything else.
