Could someone please point me in the right direction ? I have searched the internet high and low for part one of the article listed below in Popular Hot Rodding Magazine. I think it was the March issue. I am trying to read everything I can before making a decision.

"Last month, we got a big start on dropping our new LS2-based drivetrain into the '68 Camaro project called Bad Penny (see "LS2 Transplant, Part 1"). The engine is in, but there's still a lot to do. In many ways, installing a modern engine into vintage tin is a lot like installing your run-of-the-mill small-block, but there are key differences. The LS2 has specific fuel and wiring components, making it more involved than the typical small-block install. However, the aftermarket has been burning the midnight oil developing goodies to make LS swaps much less painless. We plan on showing you many of those time-saving short-cuts right here."

LS motors are very easy for stand-alone. We just put one in a jeep rock-crawler in my neighbors driveway. Its that easy. Bought LS/4L60E on ebay and dropped it in...

The car project you speak of is owned by Steve Rupp and he frequently hangs out at www.Lateral-g.net , there is quite a large post on that website that Steve started about Penny. The car is outstanding and if you search Lateral-g you will find what your looking for as well as www.pro-touring.com. Im not sure if your aware, Steve was rear ended shortly after he completed Penny(thank god he was not hurt although penny took a hell of a shot) and is now in the process of putting her back together and displaying the car at SEMA this October. - Rich

Another good place for LS conversion install info is at www.hotrodlane.cc . Look in their installs section and there are several. You can also look at www.ls1tech.com in their hybrid forums. There are a couple of stickies that have alot of good information.

I have searched those sites extensively, but haven't found this particular article, Thanks for the information and taking the time to respond.

http://www.ls1tech.com has a conversions section that is very helpful. There is a sticky that is dedicated to fitting LS engines into our cars.

Steve also works for PHR... On the Pro-touring site he in the "project updates" portion of the board there is a thread titled "Bad Penny version 1.2" that he started about the car after it was rearended....

For info on just the motor conversion I agree with some of the others who posted go to Ls1tech.com and there is a sticky thread that lists most of what is needed for the conversion, it is mostly for the LS1, but if I recall the motors are almost the same so the same parts would apply.... I do not know of a specific thread on what is needed for a LS2 conversion if you want a specific thread, just the LS conversion in general...

Bad Penny was the Super Chevy cover car for August. It's not the article you are looking for, but it is the same car.
