....set some goals.....
What do you want out of your car? 300 MPG? 7's in the 1/4?
then go from there...:D Lots..I mean LOTS of experience here.
Ask questions...ask questions...ask questions...Sound kinda young Tyler. Im impressed you care so much.

OH man. Power and a v6. It can be done, dont let anyone lie to you. A pair of brothers in Duncan, OKLA built, worked rather, some heads for me to put on a 4.3L V6 for a roundy-round car. Motor made 436HP. yeah, a V6 making over 400 naturally aspirated HP to the rear wheels. I wouldnt mess with the 3.8 now, you need free flowing exhaust, free flowing cold air intake, good ignition and a chip.
However, all that would be wasted should you run across a guy selling a 96-ish LT1 on the cheap. It happens. Then you spent all this money on the 3.8 when you should have spent it on the LT1.....
In My Humble Opinion, put a nice stereo in it, some cool wheels/tires and save up for a V8. Never go wrong there...:D

You have to change out the cross member to do a V8 swap in a V6 car. My opinion here. Keep it a V6, get some years on your driving so your insurance will be stay reasonable and when your ready buy a V8 car. You will be money ahead. You can learn the basics on what you have now and still afford to drive it.

Ditto. Enjoy waxing your V6, maybe installing some speed parts, while saving your $$ for a real LS1 car. It's not just the crossmember swap, it's EVERYTHING. LS1-but-ustabe-V6 cars aren't worth much.

But if you're emotionally linked to your car, think turbo...
