The before pic looks more muscle to me. What is the size on your old ones, is it 15x7s with 235 60's and 255 60's on back

I like the new wheels. What brand and size are they? Gives your car a different look to it, plus if you keep both you can switch depending on your mood.

Old ones are all 15x7's with 225/60's and 255/60's.
New ones are 17x7's and 18x8's with 235/45's and 255/45's.
Wheels are Coys with the gun metal gray center and polished lip.

I gotta go with the rally's, too....
I just don't think that 17-18" wheels look good on these old cars...
but hey, it's just my opinion, right?
Whatever YOU like.

Your car looks very nice. Is the suspension stock?

Very nice! I've been eyeballing almost the exact same set of rims for my '69. I think you just sold me on 'em.

Wow....I was glad to scroll down and see that others like their cars to look tough. I can't stand the stance of the 1st gens from the factory. You can cruise at night and win the local mud bogs in the daytime. lol

2/3 might be a bit much though to lower......I think even an inch to inch+half all the way around would be a huge improvement.

Hard to beat the GM rally's!!!!! I think it's the best looking muscle car wheel ever made. I run a custom set on my '68 C-10 project.

Front springs are new and I cut off 1/2 a coil and got about 1.5" of drop.
Rear springs are stock but I put in a shock relocate kit that moved the shocks inboard.

If I was to lower any more in the front wouldn't I have a problem with rubbing on the fender lip? Out back would I just install a space between the axle tub and the lower spring pad? What about ride, wouldn't it be pretty harsh? I messured 2" from the top of the tire to the fender lip in the front and 3" in the rear.

Something to think about: I also relocated my springs to the inside then I put a 9" in the back of my '68 Camaro. I lowered mine 2" with blocks. I would not do that again because it gives your axle more leverage to create axle rap (wheel hop). My springs were also multi-leaf. If you don't drive aggressive, it probably wouldn't be a problem. I like to go sideways, so it was for me. If I had to do it again, I would run the Hochkis 2" lowering spring. That way when someone looks under the car, it doesn't look like a 80's technology. I'm also not a big fan of any traction control hanging down like the slide-a-link or traction bars. It takes away from the clean look. The only way you would know about the front is to take out the spring and set the lower ball joint back into place. Easily start to lower the car to the new desired ride height and check for clearance. This way you don't cut and ruin, or buy new springs that will cause it to rub. Just a thought~~~
