Well, After years of talking about it, My wife and I (and out two daughters) have pulled up our roots from St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands and moved to Suwanee, Georgia. I have been working on this move for a very LONG time. We were able to turn our lives around for the better by closing our bakery and selling the commercial property. The bakery business is just not what it used to be. Especially in the islands where the cost of doing business has risen drastically in the past five years. We were literally losing money every day for some time now. Anyway, that is all behind us and we are looking forward to a wonderful life here in Georgia. I thank those who have PM'd me with tips on the move. Now, anyone in my area, please let me know, I'd love to start meeting some of you in person.

How long had you lived in St Thomas?

I moved to St. Thomas when I was 10 years old. Movedaway twice, each time for a year, once to New York to live with my sister (right after graduating high school) and once to California in the early '90's. St. Thomas is a great place to live, but very limited.

Ive been to St Thomas on a number of occasions and its very nice there for sure. I would feel boxed in after a very short time however. Welcome back to the States
