Hey Everyone,

As with 75% of my car, the original brake pedal and hardware was not on the car so I am installing Repro and NOS stuff. The problem is that it looks like there is a small shim or the likes with a hole in it that goes around the clevis pin of the mastercylinder connection that the return spring clips onto. I cannot find this anywhere so I am probably going to fabricate one but does anyone have a picture of what these are supposed to look like?

Thanks,

Bill

The spring and tab are only used on manual brake cars.

Bill -

If you are keeping manual brakes, I probably have the tab and the spring (it's just a matter of finding it). But with the BB, I am sincerely hoping you are at least going with power drums, if not discs.

Ah - I see now! Why yes - I've got the correct Corvette 4 piston power disc brakes so I guess I won't worry about that anymore.

Thanks everyone!

Power brake boosters have a huge spring inside, don't require any other springs. Power brake pedal height is set lower than manual for easier foot movement from the gas pedal to brake pedal. The extra height is not needed due to the lower pedal ratio used on power brakes, (lower hole) and the lower pedal can stroke the master cyl fully with less travel.
