Does anyone know the max amount of days (between engine parts) that would have been installed on the assembly line of the 1st Gen Camaro. In other words could it be possible to have a Jan 69 body and engine with April dated heads? I sure can't find any facts on this matter.

Do some searching around this site as well as www.camaros.org
To answer your question: April engine in a Jan car? No.
There are a few instances in which parts can post-date the trim tag date. But not in that time frame and certainly not by that much.

No, is the simple answer. There is not alot of literature on that subject, but there is some. I'll try to find where I have read about this. I'm sure there are smarter people than me on this.

Yes there are. Here is probably the best info available right now.

These cars were made on an a continuous assembly line that only stopped for specific reasons. GM's pupose in life was to build and sell cars as fast as they could. It is only a guess, but there would have been no good reasons to store something as common as a body in a car plant.
Of course it is possible to have April heads on a January car. It is called warranty.:D
