Looks like real Tag plus the 5th digit ID's the engine code in 1972 as Z28. But man it's really sad to see this happen to a 1972 Z28. GM only made about 2,500 of these cars. :sad:

The car sold!! Congrats to the buyer! A 1972 Z28 is hard to come by in any condition! Kudos to the seller as well for not asking an unreasonable price. I love the 1972 & 1973 Z28's. With the engine code in the VIN, it makes the car alot harder to fake. I hope buyer & seller are happy!!
