Will the drivers door (LH) off of a 1969 Firebird fit a 1969 Z28 Camaro without major mods to fit the outside morror. My crossover book says "LH" door is slightly different on the Firebird due to the way mirror mounts. The book says the door will fit a 1969 Camaro if the Firebird (Pontiac mirror is used.
Is this true? Whats so different about the mirrors between the 1969 Camaro and Firebird.

Please accept my advance thanks for all answers I receive! This site has been a great source of information. Nothing like people who have been there done that!

I tell you what. I know a guy who has 2 doors for sale cheap. They are guaranteed to be rust free. I need the right and you need the left. They are $150 each + shipping, ask anyone and they will tell you that is cheap. I think the hinge bolt pattern is a little different on the Firebird door. Other than that I would look closely because there may be a little difference somewhere else.

The difference may be the remote mirror, I’ve never run across a 69 Firebird that didn’t have a remote mirror on the driver’s side... hinges and all are the same.
