My `69 has what appears to be minor rust on the doors where the skin crimps to the frame. The trunk lid has the same, but a bit worse and I can see surface rust on the inside of the trunk lid skin.

Is there a recommended way to treat this rust?

....bout the only way that I know of is to dip the edges in an acid that will neutralize the rust.

Get some POR-15 and paint it on the rusted area,also wear gloves when using this stuff, or you will wear it for a wile, as it don't come off after it dries. http://www.camaros.net/forum/biggrin.gif
