I just replaced my manual steering box with a power steering box. The box I put in is 3 turns lock to lock. Now that it is installed in the car steering wheel goes 2 turns lock to lock. 1 turn in each direction.

I guess it would depend on what kind of box you used? I used the Cardone box that many here use (#276550), which most here say results in 2.5 turns from lock to lock. In my case, I count approx 2.65-2.7 turns with this box.

Is that at the steering wheel or the box itself?

The wheel itself.

Well got the job done. Car drives great. Pull back in the driveway take a look for leaks and wouldn't ya know the damn pump is leaking from the front shaft. So now I have to wait for a new one swap it out and make a damn mess all over the car when I remove the pump full of fluid..... Damn remanufactured parts suck!!!!!!!

It's leaking at the pulley shaft?

Yup. Pretty badly. Seems to only leak after the car has been sitting for a few minutes.

on the 2 turns lock to lock, it's probably to do with the combination of pitman arm and steering arms you have.

Longer pitman arm speeds the steering, shorter steering arms do to.

The two turns lock to lock is really almost 2&1/2 now that the car is down on the ground and everything is together. Driving the car feels great. Needs an ailignment to straighten out the wheel which is off by about 30 degrees or so.
This frigin pump thing is driving me nuts what a pain to redo. I guess the best way is to detach the lines from the steering box pull everything up and detach the hoses on the bench.

I kept my little plug caps that came with the reman pump, just in case such a scenario came about. You could always use one of those little hand pumps to get most of the fluid out. Might help a tad. If it were me (and it was only a few days ago, lol), I'd take the pump off it's mount with brackets still on...then only disconnect the hoses from the back when you can turn it to make it easier to do. Then, keep the hose lines that are still run under and attached to the gear box, up high enough so gravity doesn't drain the lines and make a mess. I feel your pain. Truly:(
