I just primed the rear window channel on my 69 after doing some rust repair( metal patches). The instructions say to apply body filler after allowing to cure overnight(2 coats). Can I just spread the filler on without sanding the primer as long as I do it before the 7 day window. I am only filling some pitting that didn't go all the way through.
Oh, the primer is PPG DPLF 90.
Thanks, Guy

that is epoxy primer right?? i do not use ppg products but the window is for top coating with sealer/ 2k primer or paint, not bondo, i always sand whatever area i am body working with at least 180 but mostly with 80 grit, however as you have fixed this area already and are just smoothing it i would sand with 180 or 220 then rather than using bondo use a finishing glaze(like bondo but can be sanded easily with 220 , you can buy a quart with hardner for like 15 bucks, any evercoat product is great, their rage gold is the best bondo and i use their finishing glaze after to fill minor imperfections

I have applied body filler over Dp primer since it came out and never sanded it before hand, just my experience.
