Hey everyone. I just got back from a local swap meet and finally got my new grill and tail panel ss emblems. I just had to tell all you people who can understand what this means to a car person. My family likes it but they dont know.:beers:

Understand, it's exciting to see things coming together. Family thinks I'm nuts too, standing and staring at the bumpers after they're finally installed correctly. Drove me crazy before. If you were at the Midland show, I was there on Saturday. Picked up new door weatherstriping and all the bolts for my bumpers and brackets. I had a pretty lengthy list, but that's all I could find this time. I see Ben Wenzel Sr had a 67 Camaro at the show, not the national record holder car though. I wish I could've run into him to talk to him Saturday.

Who did you buy your parts from? Freeman's is where I picked my emblems up at. Clarence is a real nice guy, I've bought quite a few parts from him. I also was there on saturday , Went with a couple friends. Sunday was go look at the junk with my wife day:p. I think I seen that camaro you were talking about. Was it on the end of one of the rows closest the the parts. Like a bluish color?

Steve I bought most of my stuff this time from Terry of T.J.'s Camaro. I've bought a lot of stuff over the years from Terry, he's also a real nice guy who has been very helpful. I stopped at Freeman's area first, I bought all my stuff last time from him and he's been very helpful also. But I caught him at a bad time, he had a lot of people throwing a lot of questions at him and only one guy trying to cover everyone, I figured I'd look around and come back. But once I got to Terry's he had everything I needed.
Yes the 67, kind of a torquoise with matching color interior, white Z stripes, console and gauges. Had an SS hood though, but the license plate "Zwanabe" caught my attention. Then I noticed Wenzel's name on the dash paperwork. I wish he'd bring the drag car out once to see.
I had a long list of items, I usually do the last show of the year. I still have a long list and after Sunday working on the car the list got longer again! I've got to stop finding things that need work on this thing. This one was suppose to be fun and never torn down so far I couldn't drive it, that didn't last long (about 4 months).

I buy most of my Camaro parts from classic industries out of California. They have a catalog with everything you need even to build the car from scratch.....
