He really did not take it too far. Still has the firebird rear and interior. It's just engine and nose that was changed. For the guy with the right spare firebird parts, its a decent deal and sell the Camaro parts. :)

Looks like some body panel alignment issues going on there. The thing I can't understand is that the guy claims that $$$ became an issue. Wouldn't it have been cheaper if he just finished the car in it's natural meant to be state .... as a Firebird ... rather then trying to turn it into some sort of automotive transvestite?

6k for the 1st firebird is way high imo, they do not seem to pull the value a camaro does. Perhaps that is why people try to make them look like camaros?

In Aurora IL in the early 70's we had a fire chicken on the road that belonged to a friend of mine. a 68 Firebird with a 68 Camaro nose. I worked for AAmco trans at the time and they had the doner car 68 Camaro with Firebird nose but it never saw the road. Roger said he switched the nose to Camaro for weight.

firebirds were first created by the pontiac motor division changing the chevrolet camaro into something pontiac could sell ? we are just changing them back now ,,,
