set up a photobucket.com album for your start to finish project. I'd love to see it.
If you don't mind me asking, what vin did they give you? Did they let you have the 12437 mask or did they use a generic state issued one? How did they title it? I have a Camaro with a weird VIN & I'm trying to find its roots...the assumption is that it was a theft recovery back in the 70's with a state-issued VIN, but we have had no luck verifying that yet...

yes the officer gave me the 12437 prefix with the body number stamped on it but, of course it is our lovely CHP style vin on the quarter jamb? beggars cant be chosers i guess........i actually had a co. out here proccess the paper work...it was part of the deal that this co. was used or else the seller was not gonna put his neck out in case anything happenned. it all worked out swell...now i am on the hunt for a base model cowl tag...i feel like the car is not complete without one.....but i dont want a repop....any suggestions by anyone? id also like to put it in registry if possible.

I would leave the cowl tag off.

It's not going to be "correct" anyway, so what's the difference, right?
And congrats on the completion...I Look forward to the pictures...

true if not original then it doesnt matter......im not looking to sell it but wouldnt that leave the door open for someone to turn the car into something it is not? id just make it a basic v8 car......the next cat who knows....when i die i cant take it with me.:noway:
