Does anyone know if you can buy the repro round-handle shifter stick all by itself or do you have to get the whole assembly with the body and rods? If you can, does anyone know the part # from Hurst for it? My plan is to attach the repro stick to a Hurst Street Super Shifter body and rods. Is this feasible and if so do you think it would look okay? I want the stock look with the ability to bang gears. Thanks in advance for any input.

I want to do the same as you but find you can only get the round-handle stick as a complete assembly. I saw one at the swap-meet at Lowe's Motor Speedway a couple of weekends ago and it was beautiful, but sold for $325. I would love to have just the stick and I believe there would be a big market for it if they would sell it.
I believe I saw it in the old Rick's First Gen web site but haven't spent any time in their new site.

Thats what I'm afraid of. I can't imagine that Hurst doesn't have a part # on the stick that comes with the reproduced assembly. In my feeble mind, if a guy had the # off the stick, he could order it from anyone who was a distributor. I'll spend the $ on a Super Shifter and a repro stock shifter to get the handle if I have to, but I'd really like to hear from someone whos done it before I spend $600-$700 in parts.
Thanks

I just went threw the very same thing last week, was looking for just the round bar factory shifter handle by itself, I found if you have an aftermarket shifter like an hurst comp. plus that Jake @ DR Classics has a round handle shifter bar made to work with it, heres his info; jake@DRClassic.com or call 1-800-472-6952. Also in my case I have an original shifter body but my original handle had been modified and cut so I needed the to fide the hande that is a press-in style to the shifter body instead of bolt on, the only place I found that have that is style is "thepartsplaceinc" on ebay and they only sell the handle with there shifter body as a set, cost I believe was $329 plus $15 buck shipping. Hope this helps.........Good luck! Yankit
