Is there a difference and what is it.
I have a disk/drum distribution block now which is in show quality condition and have my wilwood conv kit that came with a disk/disk distribition block (which they look exactly the same from the outside) and that one is all scratched and marked up.
I have an adj prop valve in line to the rear if that helps.
Thanks

The distribution block is just that - there is no proportioning in it. Dont confuse it with a combination valve, which has distribution AND proportioning. Combo valves were never stock on the first gens. The block that came stock on these cars (67-69) has no proprtioning feature. It only has the pressure switch.

Doug - I originally purchased a ccp Chrome prop valve (disc/drum)and then went
4 wheel discs. I modified the prop valve (dist. block) per ccp to make it 4 wheel disc compatible. It seems to work fine.
To modify (if your's is like mine) you remove the rear brake 'coupler' and look in to the unit. You will see a black rubber plunger, remove it and the spring behind it. You're done.
I hope that helps

Is there a difference and what is it. Doug
No difference - all three configurations (manual drum, power drum, and power disc/drum) all use exactly the same distribution block; it has no valving function at all - simply a spring-centered spool that grounds the circuit for the brake warning lamp when there's a pressure differential between the front and rear brake systems.
