Ok I am replacing the astro vents. Can someone tell me does the finger tab for opening and closing the vent go up above the centerline of the vent or below the centerline?

I can look at mine tommorrow and let you know for sure but I think it is impossible to install upside down in the housing seats where they pivot.

I think the upper and lower pins are different diameters, so you can't go wrong.

Speaking of vents, I recently bought a car that has the one on the passenger side damaged, anyone have one for a '69 ?

I need the vent that passes through the firewall.
