I suspect an Iowa boy or two is already headed for Souix City, towing a trailer, with a pocketful of cash.

Only thing that seems a little worrysome is that he seems to know something about COPOs, including what many of the correct parts are, but $27K is pretty cheap.

For the record, while his feedback is low, the one negative was as a buyer.

I am trying to understand what he means by this quote from the auction..."This is a heck of a chance at a $70,000 clone or a $200,000 copo 427 camaro."

He was pretty straight forward. I believe he said something about having no paperwork so it could be real or not. He has some good parts there. I don't think he is trying to out and out fool anyone about what he has. He said come and look it over.
It's buyer beware as with any Camaro purchase nowadays.
A vin # and a cowl tag picture would be nice to see. Even at 27K with the parts included, it will still take some big green and alot of work to build that car.

A dust off would help.

I asked him this, which is true.

"Hello, if don't mind could you tell me where in Okla that you found this car. My son and I agree that we raced a 427 69 three times and it was one of only two cars that could beat us. A long time ago and no one cared much about COPO'S then. Just for our knowledge because when we saw your auction, that was the first thing that came to mind.
Thanks
Tom in Oklahoma

He replied with this.

"Hello Tom,
There is a good chance this could of been it but I have no history and because these were at the time barely even known in chevrolet circles they almost went unnoticed as a sleeper. The car I believe was in the Oklahoma city area and I think it might of been in Tulsa area at one time but who knows. The guy I bought it from wouldn't tell me anything and even said he wouldn't sell the car to someone from Oklahoma for what reason I do not know. Kind of an oddball but I didn't mind . I just wanted the car. Thanks "
So, I still don't know where in Okla. he got the car.

No pictures or paperwork. Just a rolling chassis ,with some big block parts. That picture looks old.

The guy says that he is putting up more pics and the vin is 1969 VIN 124379n6972XX. Can anyone make anything out of the vin?? Bids jumped up to over 13K.
I'm in the wrong business. LOL

Car would have to be an October 69 car, Cowl tag still needed.

It would be nice of the seller to have more than one crappy picture that shows absolutely nothing in a listing for a car that he said he wants "at least" $27K for. No pictures or proof of any of the "rare" parts he has. Now he says he didn't realize the auction started yet and he may have to cancel it??? And relist with more pictures. He says prospective buyers would need to come in person him to check out the parts. None of this sounds right.

He added this last night:

"Hello, I have had emails for more pictures and of the block. This car was not suppose to go on ebay until later 7:00 pm tonight and some how I must of scheduled it wrong and will more than likely cancel the ad and relist with all the pictures and at a better time. I will be gathering more information and pictures today. I did want to mention that this car is something the buyer would need to come in person to check out all numbers and such to appricaite the amount of leg work that has been done and how many rare hard to find parts there are. If your expecting to steal this car you are wasting yours and my time and good bodies in California are fetching $15,000 not even being a copo or even decent non x codes go in the $10 to $15 range for bodies. If you are from a different part of the country prices may be different and it's up to you to make the decision what you are willing to spend. "
