While I was planning an elk hunting trip I got to thinking and talking about the lack of EOS on the market. I came from a small (1500) town and there just happens to be a Chevy dealer there. I had my brother-in-law check with them and see if they just might have some on a back shelf. As luck would have it, they had 4 bottles. Now they belong to me. I thought I would pass this along since all of the big dealers I have checked with were sold out long ago. For those looking to build up a stash it might pay to check any small dealerships you know of.

Not sure if this was discussed in another post or not - but, they did not completely discontinue the product they just market it through AC-Delco now.
It is available as ACDelco part # 10-106 or GM part # 12371532.
So check with you local dealer or AC parts seller for it under those numbers.

(Edit) - yup, here's the post - http://www.camaros.net/forums/showthread.php?t=116542&highlight=EOS

You mean this was a GM scam just so I would buy 4 bottles? I guess I missed that. Everything I have read said it was gone for good. Oh well, I am ready for my next flat tappet overhaul. Thanks for the heads up. I might have taken a road trip looking for more. I did check ebay awhile back and, sure enough, the prices were heading up.

It's no scam GM labled EOS has been discontinued and will no longer be produced by GM. AC Delco also has EOS and it's still available. I don't think there was a master plan to create a run on the market... Read the thread John links to...

Both Crane and Comp cams have a additive to break in cams as well. I just bought the Comp stuff at the speed shop two days ago.

I've seen a few of those also in 'GM parts' searches - over $200 for a case
I do believe Mr. P.T. Barnum forsaw the establishment of E-Bain long before Mr. Pierre Omidyar thought of it.
Except 'Ol Barnum underestimated people by a great amount with his famous quote 'there's a sucker born every minute' - I think it's more like seconds nowadays

As always JMHO's

Stands to reason...population grows=more people=more suckers. My face might be red but I did only pay the regular price for it.
