:sad:Alright, here's the deal. I brought my car to the shop to have the body work done and to have it painted. The front is pretty much done and he didn't think the back was going to be that bad but wasn't sure. We knew it needed quarter panels, outer wheel wells, and a new tailpan, after that we were unsure. He called me and had me come over to see what he had found. Basically it also needs a complete trunk pan and inner wheel wells also on top of the stuff mentioned above. He had both quarters already cut off and the tailpan off. He said he's never done a complete trunk replacement before only the center patch but is sure he can do it all and have it look right but has no idea how long it will take. My question is what to do from here.... He says he'll have to basically remove the wheel wells and the entire trunk and then put the new trunk pan in followed by the inners then outers, then the tailpan and quarters.. I assume he's going to have alignment problems now when he basically removes the whole rear end and tries to piece it back together. Any ideas how it should now that he already has both quarters off and the tailpan or does he have it right?? Any advice is much appreciated!! Also any guesses on how many hours this could take him? He does real nice work and doesn't do anything half-a$$ed based on the other classics he's done that I've see ( a couple of camaros and a nova).

Ok,, you have to take the quarters off to do a whole trunk floor.. So your taking the right path.
I don't like to qoute prices for other people but you should expect to pay 1k or so to have the floor replaced..
Good luck on the project,, and keep us posted.

Its a big job I did one in a convertable . The floor is seamed on the inside of the interior 1'' before the the seat back support panel . and we had to cut out one of the trunk hings. Two of use drilled for two days and cut and cut for it seemed for ever .sand blasted everything after we were done.take a look http://community.webshots.com/photo/2212853870102183101dqjwDt?vhost=community a coupy might not have as many spot welds . but you have to use some of the parts i know the next one will be less time .Its easy to line up after its trimed it took me about 50 + hours. To do a 100% job and the dimples in the trunk floor
