Since I'll be needing another trunk lid for my 69 Z28, I was wondering how accurate the repo's are. How is the fit? Got any pictures of the underside to compare to the original GM pieces? Thanks,
Jeff

Jeff;

Do a search for "Trunk Lids" in this section - several good old posts will come up.

Did this myself to research this a while back.

There's an NOS one listed in the for sale area. Get your piggy bank out though!!

I have one of the goodmark lids and it is a very good repo in my opinion. I looked at a lot of used GM lids and they all seem to be warped, so I decided a good quality repo was the best way to go...

I bought the Goodmark Trunk Lid and it fits perfect. I recommend it highly.

Same here. Excellent fit. Seems to be about as heavy as the original.

I used a goodmark lid and it fit fine, but it was about 1/16 narrower under the spoiler area (made the seam gap a little wider), but the spoiler hid it, The underside was a perfect match...hope this helps Mike

As a follow up, can anyone that has one of these repro trunk lids take a picture of the underside so I can see if it looks correct. I'm not too worried about getting it to fit properly, but if it doesn't look correct on the underside I may have to find a solid original.

Here is a pic of my Goodmark trunk lid (yet to be sanded/compounded clear coat runs and all!) The fit was fine but it is definitly not as sturdy as the stock lid.

Appears to be missing some access holes for the spoiler. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6161&item=2416285419 Scroll down to the pic of the open trunk lid.

Jeff, here is a pic of my NOS one. http://community.webshots.com/sym/image6/1/24/57/75212457kVuOWY_ph.jpg If you need any more pics LMK. I bought a Repo (3rd gen golden legeon?) from D&R I picked up at Carlisle spring 2002. It fit pretty good but didn't notice the bottom holes. When I get back to the body shop I'll take a peek. I did notice the GM was heavier.
