I bought the nicest 69 camaro I have seen for sale in a long time yesterday. Body is absolutely NO rust unrestored car, not even surface rust in the spots they all rust at. I have owned several dozen 67-69 camaros over the last 20 or so years and have never owned one with a column shift so they must be pretty odd. This car has a 307 th350 column shift, 10 bolt peg, multi leaf drivetrain. Does anyone out there know of a breakdown on column shift autos, or a good approximation of the number built in 69??

My '69 "was" a column shift 307/TH350, mono leaf 10 bolt w/ 273 rear. I didn't leave it because I figured it was one of the dime-a-dozen cars.

We restored a column shift 350 Z11 Indy Pace car back in the late 70's
converted it to a floor shift with console to sell it easier ...
the ONLY powerglide SS 69 Camaro I ever saw was a column shift
I imagine there were quite a few of them made
some of the COPO cars were column shift autos ...

If you ordered an automatic and didn't choose console it became column shifted. Quite a few did come this way, but most of the cool ones was ordered with console.
And as said some of the COPO's are column shift.
