Hi all,

I was cleaning my steering arms today and decided to check the casting numbers on David Pozzi's site to see what size they were. Is it odd to have 2 different lengths? My LH arm is 3902517GM1B, which shows as a 6" (long) manual arm. The RH is 3902517GM2B, which is (medium) 5.5".

I'm converting to PS and using a new Delphi 600 series gear and matching pitman arm from DSE. Do I need matching long or medium arms?

Thanks

Yes! I would think so..........

Unless by chance you have a different length idler-arm such that that side matches if this will even work??

David, where are you????

Did you tape them to see if they are really different lengths??

No, I have not actually measured them. Guess I should. I was going by part numbers. I'm replacing the idler arm with one from DSE, which I believe is a MOOG part. I'll have to check the part number.

Allways measure your arm lengths. The numbers I have provided are all proven, however I have recieved reports of exceptions, - arms that were marked "short" but not short, etc.

The forging numbers are an indication of length, but measuring is still the most accurate way to be sure.

I didn't check in much over the weekend, went to the local air show for fri and sun, went to the San Jose Goodies Speed shop open house on Saturday.
