Fred Ficarra Oct 2nd, 07, 02:35 PM Nice ride! And in front of the swimming pool too.
Ah, can I offer a couple of photo and car appearance tips?
River Oct 3rd, 07, 10:54 AM Please do
Come on be nice Fred. The guys screen name is River that mast in the picture is for when he takes his Camaro out for a sail! ;) Just guessing at what's on Fred's mind, when you take a glamor shot of a car try not to have any lamp poles or tree trunks growing out of the car...
Congrats on the show success by the way... :beers:
Fred Ficarra Oct 3rd, 07, 12:23 PM Dennis, you know me so well!:D
River, OK, here's a couple of tips I've learned besides what Dennis said about sail-cars and tree trunks.
Don't go by my web site examples. Those were taken prior to my enlightenment.
First thing. Try to frame the car so as to take up most of the image, (or crop it) and also shoot from the front so as to show the grill and side at the same time. Keep the front wheels pointed straight ahead.
Second. Avoid hot-spots caused by bright sun reflecting off of chrome. And in that regard, try to shoot in the early morning or evening when light rays are longer. (yellow light) MUCH better for photography.
We already touched on the third item, a neutral background. Try to keep the background colors complementary too. And background 'themes' are great, like shooting at old drive-ins or gas stations.
You have a fine looking car. One suggestion to aid its appearance. Your car has the 'coke-bottle look'. See the way the sheet metal comes together in front of the quarter panel? Look below that. The portion of the rocker panel below the pinch BEGS to be painted black. Makes the car sleek.
That's all you get because that's all I know.:o
