I have 68 camaro coupe. I need to remove the rubber seals the go down the side and top of windows. They are in good shape so I would like to remove so they can be reinstalled. I need to do some welding in this area which is why they need to be removed. I have done a search but found nothing on removal.

If they are original, I think they were held in place with a few dabs of weatherstrip adhesive. If they are original and in good shape, you definitely want to preserve them. Foam repops are $50, latex repops are $125, and NOS are $1000 or more.
I have an original pair that are undamaged. One side is soft and pliable as new, (and on the car) The other is firmer, less resilient. (and off the car) I was told a regular application of baby oil on them will soften them up, so I oiled them 2-3 times a week for a month or so. If it made it softer, I can't tell. Anyone have other suggestions?

Contrary to popular belief, baby oil does not come from babies!
It is a petroleum product made of mineral oil and fragerance.
I thought petroleum products where bad for long term use on rubber?
Anyway, the best rubber care product I ever used on door seals was from the BMW dealer and is called "Gummiphlege" (which just means rubber care in german) which I think is silicone based. Really any rubber care product from a major manufacturer would be better than having your rubber smell like a baby.

Well, I have to admit, they do not have diaper rash.
When I was a lifeguard in college, we used baby oil with iodine mixed in. (actually, it didn't mix...you had to shake it up every time to get the iodine in suspension.)
