I was using Kp36 primer but it was recently banned and was looking for a good gray primer for my new body panels. I plan on painting the car 2001 BMW fern green. Any ideas on a good primer?
I have some primer called polyprimer 901 gray made by PLC, but am not sure if it was good to use since the counter person told me it goes over anything?
Thanks

I havent heard of your other alternate primer, but the K36, you say its been discontinued? I use it everyday.
If your off brand primer is a urethane type, you shouldnt have any problems putting it over K36. graemlins/waving.gif

Your "polyprimer" is a polyester primer and completely different than the K36 which is urethane. It is a good polyester primer if you need it though.
Go to your PPG supplier and get what the current urethane primer is.
Click here for the "Basics of Basics" on paint technologies it lays out the difference in the two primers you have. (http://www.camaros.net/forum/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=3;t=002645) You may find the rest of "Basics of Basics" also, they are at the top of this forum.
