Hey all,
Just tried to bench bleed my master cylinder, which has been sitting out of the car for a long time...too long. The front piston seems to have stuck inside. I removed the rear and got the front loose, only to find a ton of crap inside. Once out, the cylinders looked like they had been scored for some time....not just from sitting, but like it needs a rebuild.
My question.....should I just get a new master cylinder? or should I get a repop? or just get the parts and rebuild it myself???
I have changed the entire brake lines and was getting ready to install so I could drive it around the block...still need to complete a bunch of stuff before its totally road-worthy.
Any advice is appreciated!!
Thanks
