Will this radiator cool a 489 BB with 550 hp? theres no room for wider or taller.

it will as long as all of the other pieces of the 'cooling puzzle' are up to it as well (thermostat, shroud, water pump, coolant, radiator cap, enough electricity for the fans, etc.), along with a well-tuned engine.

I used a Flow Kooler water pump, and a 180f High Flow t'stat,
and a Griffin large core radiator in my '67 Camaro with a 427 and a big cam.

I also had a fan shroud, a clutch type fan,
and the "Chin spoler" front spoiler,
which forces a bit more air thru the radiator support. ;)

After I put this radiator in the car, I didn't need the electric pusher fan,
in front of the radiator any longer.

If I recall correct the radiator I used is below.

6-568AE-BAX 67-69 Camaro 2 row@ 1.25
