Just found a hole front clip at the swap meet today. I am supposed to pick them up tommorrow. The guy said they were original and they felt considerably heavier than some of the junk repos Ive picked up in the past, but whats a sure fire way of telling original or repo? Thanks

I found that the repro's are pretty good and almost hard to tell from the GM's. The most significant differences are in the area of the beam and captive hardware that the hood hinges attach to, and the other mounting tabs and reinforcement in the door area under the fender.

I had to cut the inside door jamb mounting tab off of my left front repro fender and relocate it to get the fender to snug up to the cowl panel!!

Otherwise, the parts are pretty good loking and a nice fit.

Generally, if you know what the genuine GM parts look like, it's obvious that these are different!
