My 69 Camaro SS is coming out of the body shop after a very long frame off restoration. The only trouble seems to be that the grill is not fitting up close to the side of the fenders. All the sheetmetal is GM including the core support. Is there any adjustment to bring it back to where it is suppose to be.When it was taken apart I don't remember it being that way but it was 15 months ago.It has been a very trying experience with the body shop. Thanks for any info to help with this situation. The header panel center and the point of the center of grill line up good. There is about a 1/8 gap on both sides between edge of grill and fender.

Dan I don't have a real good answer but I would have thought the body shop would have used the grill during fitment and assembly of the front clip. That doesn't help you now unless you can put it back on the body shop.
1/8" doesn't sound that bad to me, keep in mind these cars were thrown together back in the day and tollerences were greater than you and I might like our pride and joys to have.

they have to loosen the fenders a bit then install the grill.
keep in mind also that the valance panel and or header might be a bit longer than stock (welcome to the world or repo parts)
when i did my car 2 years ago the header panel was too wide and had to be shortend 7/16 of an inch before the grill looked right.

The AIM indicates flush to .090" gap, measured at room temperature.
