I have a 69 SS /automatic with console. It's all chromed out with a 327 & 400 turbo, so I'm not going for original. I want to change the shifter from the old original horseshoe style to a nice looking straight shifter with a ball. Anyone know of an aftermarket shifter (Lokar, etc) that would work in the original console? Or a shifter out of another vehicle that would work? The Olds 442 shifter from early 70's looks like it would work in the console, but haven't found one to buy. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
