when im backing up my driveway SLOWLY i hear a binding noise, also hear it in reverse on flat land sometimes too. its mostly going reverse slowly, my brakes seem fine, and i checked the driveshaft. its a 350 trans and a 10 bolt open rear end. i just cant seem to pinpoint the noise......any help is appreciated.

U joint?

put the car in neutral. let go of brake and give it some gas. if it lunges forward than tranny is no good. forward clutches are almost welded together.

does your driveway have a curve in it?
Kinda sounds like normal posi noise to me.

well sirs it is an open 10 bolt. and the u joint is new but ill check and make sure it is in properly. my driveway is slanted a little. ill try the neutral test.
