I have all my original windows out and getting ready to reinstall them. I understand how to do the polishing thing but does anyone have recommendations for how to remove the 36yo adhesive around the perimeter of my rear window and windshield?

single edge razor blades will clean it up. just be EXTRA EXTRA careful and dont get cut.

it's not me i'm afraid of cutting, it's the glass i don't want to damage...

Laquer thinner works great removing old adhesive from glass.
