Guy I work with is into it. Has a pretty nice collection (mostly 50's and 60's cars) and I have to admit, some of them are pretty cool. I have a '69 z28 and '67 Camaro but that's it. Not much of a collection as I have spending all my $$$ on the real thing. :D

I have quite a collection. Lots of Franklin Mint and Danbury. Also over a hundred 1/18 cars. Plus hundreds of the little guys as well. I range from muscle cars to Rolls Royce. They are a lot of fun and make the garage look really nice. Plus my son loves to look at the nice ones and play with the cheap ones!

I've got a decent sized collection, mostly F Bodies & Vettes.

Actually it was a 1/64 Johnny Lightning Diecast of a Red 67 RS/SS Camaro that was a gift from my girlfriend, that started my diecast collection. Oddly enough, I hadn't even bought my Camaro when she had got my that diecast. And I happen to buy it's almost identical life sized copy, crazy!

I have about 250 of them. All 67,68,69 Camaros 1/64 -1/18th. It's an addiction, but I think I finally have it under control. That is until something new comes out.

I have most of my orignal Matchbox cars from the 60's. I collested Dale Earnhardt when he was alive and at one time was trying to buy every 69 camaro diecast I saw. I just passed on a 1/24 Yenko by Mucslecar Garage so i guess my addiction is in remission.

I collected until I got enough to buy the real thing. I then sold the Hot Wheels and Tomica and had more than enough to buy my 68. I paid for my car with toy cars....really.

I have every year Camaro made in die cast form, all different scales, all different models (SS, RS, Z28, Convertible). Majority of the cars I have are 1 of ????. Some are the last one and some are 1 of 500. It took several years to collect all the years, I cant remember the years but 2 of them took me almost a year to find.

I don't have any diecast Camaros, but am looking for a '68 Z/28 convertible or a '68 plain jane 'vert.
All the '68 Convertibles I've seen are RS/SS, (hidden headlights).

Have any of you guys ever seen a '68'vert with headlights? (either 1:18 or 1:24 scale)
I'm getting frustrated and ready to give up the search. Do they exist?

Oh man, I was cruising ebay and found a Johnny Lightning 1/64th Diecast of how my Camaro looked from the factory. It was Granada Gold w/ Black BB Stripe. Johnny Lightning only made that diecast for the folks that subscribed to their mail order program. Some guy was selling his whole collection of 31 cars, all sealed in original packaging. I only wanted the 1 Gold one, but I'm sure they'll be some others I will end up keeping. I got the whole lot for $77+shipping. I've been hunting this one for 7 years now.

I use to collect a lot of Earnhardt Sr. cars, still have them, but don't buy anything Nascar anymore.

I buy just about every Camaro diecast I come across.

My Camaro was made in the Johnny Lightning "Your Car is the Star" series. Classic Gold Release 22.

I don't collect them, but I did by a couple of cases of hotwheels for the kids...we'd let 'em pick one out on Sunday if they were good. It was quite the production to spread the whole case all over the floor...sort out which one would be the pick that week. It was easy a half hour decision process...:D

Also, I thought of this thread today when I got a "Genuine Hotrod Hardware, Inc." catalog in the mail today. It had a lot of 1/18 scale accessories...toolchests, jackstands, ramps, engines, hoists, lifts, creepers, etc. Figured some of you might find that fun. www.genuinehotrod.com
