Have a new drive shaft and pinion yoke to install in a 67 with a 12 bolt differential (not sure of type). It has a 390 gear ratio.
I removed the nut from the pinion yoke - should I use a puller to remove the yoke itself? It would not come out with tapping and I do not want to beat on it.
Also, can I change the bearings and seal easily once the yoke is out -without removing the differential from the car? I can move the pinion yoke and there seems to be a little play.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
