I am replacing the pinion yoke on my 67 12 bolt and looking for procedure. I do have a puller and already have the main nut off. There is a flat washer behind the nut - do I use the puller to remove the yoke and the washer will follow? The yoke is on tight and I was told I need a puller to remove it from the spline shaft.

Any advice is appreciated

The yoke may need some external persuasion, as in a brass hammer.
