View Full Version : 69 rear exhaust hangers 69l88 Oct 21st, 07, 04:24 PM I would like to know if these are exactly as the originals were.Thank you.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&viewitem=&item=250173664322 BlackoutSteve Oct 22nd, 07, 04:38 AM They look like they are originals.. Repros do not have part numbers on them and are galvanized. Unreal Oct 22nd, 07, 08:18 AM I believe the pass side is correct for Chambered. I have, what I think is driver side Chambered hanger. I'll have to dig it out and check for numbers. I do recall it has the W stamped on it, which I believe is for Walker. 69l88 Oct 23rd, 07, 09:31 AM Thank you. Fred Ficarra Oct 24th, 07, 02:13 PM Problem, those have a clamp on them that seems to be intended for encasing the exhaust pipe. Mine are original and appear similar except they've never had the integral clamp. Mine use a separate clamp. I tried to find a picture and don't have one yet. Let me know if it'll help. And did you guys see the price on that auction now!? Over $350 for a couple of hangers! Unreal Oct 24th, 07, 03:56 PM The ones I got included the spot welded strap just like the picture. However, I can find no part numbers anywhere, just the W. It also included a pair of circular straps like the ones used on the drop hangers for chambered exhaust. I'm positive it's part of a chambered hanger system. The spot welded strap has a large hole on one end, and is tapped on the other. I'll be darned if I can figure out how they clamp around a tailpipe. So Fred, you may be onto something. |
