I recently pulled the chrome molding from my windows. Some of the clips broke in the process. Are these replacable???

If so, does anyone know who has them?

If not, how do I get the molding to stay on?

Thanks!

Try any NAPA Store. They have more clips there than one could imagine. Cheap as well.

Let me bum a ride on the question bus.

I pulled my chrome off because my rear window leaks. Should I just pluck the goo all around the window? Who sells new goo and what is it really called?

I am hoping to replace the goo, get new clips and put it all back together and hope for no leaks. Am I high or will this work?

I normally try to not say negative things about any of the suppliers, but the pricing of window clips (and trim clips in general) is crazy! This is true of all the suppliers.

Most of the clips you would use in a restoration come from a company called Auveco (yes, that's the correct spelling). They have a web site and you can locate a local distrubutor.

For the cost of 6 clips from the "suppliers", you can get a box of 50 from an Auveco distributor, if you are willing to wait for him to fill a larger order.

Many glass shop will also stock the clips, just bring one in for comparison.
